# bay 0.1.8: ready for every team

> bay 0.1.8 is out, and bay is ready for any team that runs coding agents. It is free, private, and small enough to read.

bay 0.1.8 is out today. With it, bay is ready for any team that runs coding agents on one Git repository. It is free under the MIT licence, with no paid tier and no account.

## What bay does for your team

An agent submits its change once and moves on. bay checks the exact result and lands it on trunk, on the Git host you already have. An executor finishes each landing, so no person has to watch. Every refusal names the next step, so no agent loops. Before we signed 0.1.8, it passed a full landing on macOS and on Linux.

## What 0.1.8 adds

- **Faster commands**: with no fixed 20 ms wait for each Git call, commands run two to four times faster.
- **Trunk health everywhere**: `bay status --fleet` lists red checks, and `bay watch` says when trunk turns red or green again.
- **Tidy machines**: `bay start` releases clean views of finished changes, and always keeps a view with work in it.
- **Evidence that survives a lost push**: `bay evidence record` keeps a record whose push failed, and pushes it on the next run.
- **Clearer key custody**: `bay doctor` lists the agents whose sessions run under one account.

## Private by design

bay runs on your machines and talks only to your own Git remote. It has no server and sends no telemetry, so your code never reaches us. Its source is small enough for your coding agent to read in full. Our Security and privacy page lists everything bay sends, and where.

## Start today

Install bay with one command, then follow the Quickstart.

```sh
curl -fsSL https://getbay.io/install.sh | sh
```

To teach your coding agent bay, add the skill: `npx skills add gudjon/bay --skill bay -g`. To help build bay, email the founders at hello@getbay.io.
